Valley Stream Pediatrics is a family medicine office caring for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Marc Lashley, Dr. Lori Berman, are the only physicians at the office. We have a licensed pediatric dietician on staff to help our patients with dietary problems, and we have free behavioral classes every month. Dr. Berman is also a pediatric gastroenterologist, and able to treat a variety of illnesses related to the GI system. We are skilled in the gynecologic care of adolescent women and can assist them with early pelvic and reproductive care.

About Dr. Marc Lashley
Dr. Lashley has been in pediatric practice since 1990. His undergraduate training was at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Lashley finished his medical training at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, and completed his residency in pediatrics at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Lashley is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Nassau Academy of Medicine. He was president of the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2013-2015, and now serves as an advisor to them. Dr. Lashley also has been on the Executive Board of the Nassau Pediatric Society for several years as the Chairman of both the Membership and Immunization Committees and was President of the Nassau Pediatric Society in 2002. Doctor Lashley has two grown sons and enjoys family time, being in nature and camping. Dr Lashley has been appointed to the faculty of Hofstra Medical School and is a student mentor for them. In 2018, Dr. Lashley was given the prestigious Top Doctor Award from NY TopDocs.
About Dr. Lori Berman
Dr. Berman completed her undergraduate training at Emory University. She is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she achieved honors. After completing her residency in pediatrics at Schneider’s Children Hospital at Long Island Jewish, she underwent 3 years of intensive training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Berman is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She recently chaired the membership committee of the Nassau Pediatric Society.
Dr. Berman was the President of Nassau County Pediatrics and is now a member of the Northport Running Club. When she is not running, she also enjoys swimming and hiking. Dr. Berman has 2 teenagers, a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children. You can also catch her at the theatre or a new restuarant, as she is a food enthusiast!
About Dr. Richard Clare
Dr. Richard Clare is a graduate of the City University of New York – Brooklyn College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in health science. After graduating, he worked for the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health as a community project coordinator and health science educator. Dr. Clare later went on to complete a Master’s degree in Public Health at the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center. He has always aspired to be a physician. This passion, coupled with his background in public health, has led him to pursue a career in family medicine. Dr. Clare completed his medical degree at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center in 2016. Dr. Clare enjoys spending time with family and currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.
About Jonathan Ringer, DNP, CPNP
Dr. Ringer (commonly called Dr. Jon around the office) is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens. He completed his undergraduate education at Tufts University in Medford, MA, and worked as an educator of young children for several years in the city of Boston, MA. He then returned to his hometown where he started his academic and clinical training as a nurse practitioner at Columbia University in the City of New York. He graduated from Columbia with a clinical doctorate degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), specializing in Pediatric Primary Care. He has trained in various healthcare settings within both New York City and Long Island including Montefiore Medical Center, Jacobi Medical Center, and Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center.
Dr. Ringer is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and is passionate about primary care medicine. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). Dr. Ringer loves teaching and is an author whose research was published in the Journal of Pediatric Health Care in 2019. His pastime includes spending time with family and close friends, going to the theater, traveling, exercising at the gym, and exploring new restaurants.
About Cintia Abrantkoski-Murphy, FNP
Cintia Abrantkoski-Murphy is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She provides primary care from pediatric patients to adults serving diverse populations with varied physical, mental, and emotional issues. Cintia practices with a thorough understanding of pathophysiology and pharmacology of most critically ill patients and healthy children. She is a conscientious, integrity-driven, health care professional who provides attentive care to patients with a variety of systemic health challenges.
About Geralyn Cleary, RN, CPNP
Geralyn Cleary is a native New Yorker born in South Ozone Park and raised in Valley Stream. She is a mother of 2 teenage boys who come to our practice. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Molloy College in Rockville Centre Long Island NY. Geralyn has been a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner for 25 years.
Her experience as a Registered Nurse has ranged from NYU, NY Presbyterian, and Stephan & Alexandra's Cohen Medical Center. She has much experience in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant. She taught Nursing as a clinical instructor for 10 years at Molloy College.
As a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, her experience started in the Urgent Care Center/Pediatric Emergency at Cohen's Medical Center for 9 years. She wanted to broaden her experience and started working in Primary Care 7 years ago. Her knowledge consists of Primary Care and Mental Health illness. Concerning Mental Health she evaluates children with ADHD, depression, and Anxiety. She is a very passionate, animated practitioner that absolutely loves taking care of children.

We emphasize a warm nurturing atmosphere where the doctors know each child individually. We follow the guidelines and tenants set by the American Academy of Pediatrics and follow their immunization schedule.
